Kaivara (Kaivarai)

This is a caste found in Tamil Nadu. These people call themselves Balija. Among them, those engaged in agriculture are referred to as Reddy. The sub-castes of Kaivara include Tupki, Jetti, Bandi Pagadala, Simneli, and Valayal. The Valayal group is the largest sub-branch of Kaivara. Some among them also use titles such as Chetti, Chettiyar, Nayakkan, Nayak, and Naidu. The main similarity here is that both Perki and Kaivara are branches of the Balija community.
